Another weekend with nothing to do? Why not head north to the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn for some flavorful suds at Brooklyn Brewery. It isn’t just a place to have some beers; it’s THE place to have some beers.
So grab your buds and wrestle for a table. Start a game of cards or join a board game with some soon to be old chums. Brooklyn Brewery is a great place to meet your neighbors. Now don’t misconstrue what I’m saying, this isn’t a club or a bar. This is a brewery with picnic tables and sparse décor, but it has a charm that is all its own. Bringing your own food isn’t against the rules, it’s encouraged! They even provide the menus, so make yourselves at home.
Sample some seasonal ales with tokens that can be purchased upon entry (6 for $20, which means you might be spending less than at a bar). To say that Brooklyn Brewery has beers that are both full flavored and award winning would be nothing less than the truth. Try anything, from their refreshingly smooth Brooklyn Lager to their lusciously rich Dark Chocolate Stout; a beer once enjoyed exclusively by Catherine the Great. They even have some flavors only available on tap.
It’s a wonderfully uncommon way to spend part of your weekend and with happy hour spanning 5:00 p.m. – 11:00p.m. on Friday, is there any reason not to? After a night of thoroughly dousing your palate, enjoy a refreshing stay at Best Western Plus Arena Hotel, a short cab ride away.
